Meet Ty – A Hometown Hero Giving Back

Born and raised in Cumberland, Maryland, Ty's journey from local standout to NFL star is nothing short of inspiring. A proud alumnus of Fort Hill High School, Ty made his mark on the football field early, earning a spot on the University of Maryland Terrapins roster. His dedication and talent led him to the NFL, where he was drafted by the Detroit Lions in 2019.

Since then, Ty’s professional career has taken him from Detroit to the New York Jets, and now to the Buffalo Bills. As he enters his seventh year in the league, Ty continues to embody the values of hard work, perseverance, and community.

Despite his success, Ty has never forgotten where he came from. Each year, he returns to Cumberland to host a free football camp for youth ages 8 to 13, offering mentorship and inspiration to the next generation. He also gives generously to local causes, including the Allegany Youth Enrichment Program Services (AYEPs) and the Allegany County Animal Shelter.
